Cinnamon rolls & time with family...

My family came to stay with us this past weekend and it was wonderful. I forget what it's like to have a full house when they're not around. I rather like the chaos that comes with a big family. I have so many fond memories of meals together, laughter, silly home performances and late night dance parties in our bedrooms. They mainly came to see my sister star in her Christmas play at college, but that is beside the point. I loved every second of the brief 24 hours we were able to spend together. Their visit gave me a good excuse to make cinnamon rolls and lots of hot cocoa. And let me tell you, I make a mean hot cocoa. :)  Getting together has gotten a bit more complicated as we've grown older, but it's worth the effort to spend time with my family. Things are bound to be different once the babies aren't babies anymore. (Seriously, my littlest brother has braces now and is in middle school! Crazy!) Having 5 other siblings makes for a lot of working around schedules. But I wouldn't trade all the semi-chaos for the world.

What have you guys changed during the holidays as your families have gotten older?
