Mountain Getaway Weekend

A few weeks ago Jonathan and I had a little getaway to the mountains. We'd been talking about writing more for what seems like forever. Sometimes you just have to schedule time to get it done. A few months ago we marked out the date on the calendar. It's a hard journey as I learn that being effective takes discipline, and lots of it. It was refreshing not to simply wait for inspiration, but make it happen. I won't lie, it was rather tiring but I loved getting away to a new place with my man. I feel like I'm growing as a person more than I ever have in my life. I guess that's a good place to be. I hope our purposeful getaway was the first of many! I kind of like the idea of having a point for vacation, besides just for rest!

Give me a rocking chair and the mountains, and I'm basically set for life!

I will never, ever tire of listening to this man sing and play.

We visited a little Amish store while in the mountains. I came away with the most delicious pumpkin butter. Heaven I tell you, heaven...

I hope you all have a great week!
