Home for the Holidays

Welcome to our home for Christmas friends! There is something so cozy about a house decked in holiday colors. I get so excited for Black Friday every year, not for shopping but for decorating! I don't know what it is about this season that makes me so drawn to everything gilded and sparkly. Usually I'm all for white everywhere, but I can't help but add punches of bright berry red in with the glitter. I could barely wait to decorate this old (new to us) house this year! When my hubby left for work at 4 am, I got up and started decorating. Yes, I know I'm cray-cray. I was as happy as could be as I pulled out all our string lights in my flannel pjs and danced to Michael Bublé Christmas music. I'm not quite done with everything, but here are a few photos of our festive nooks and crannies. :)

I still love the sparkly sheet music tree toper I made a few years ago. We're a musical family, so it fits us nicely.

This is my favorite spot this year. I'm rather fond of the chalk board, cute little antique cart and mini rosemary tree. I usually have atrocious handwriting, but I surprised myself after a few tries at making the chalkboard look somewhat decent! I'll be sad when Christmas is over and I have to erase it.

I LOVE our fireplace and mantel! People just don't make things so ornate anymore. Adding white string lights and sparkling decor just make me adore it even more.

The Southern girl in me can't get rid of the mason jars and cotton... :)

Glitter and more glitter...

I love contrasting glam and rustic details. Gold and old antlers...I die.

Even our bedroom (which is still a work in progress) has a little twinkle. :) Do you guys like decorating for Christmas? What is your style? I hope you guys had a wonderful weekend!
