Monthly Archives: June 2012 Sometimes I fall head over heels for a session. It’s kind of like a love story. As I look through the photos on my camera, it’s as if the images say to me, “mmmhmm, I know you can’t deny that I’m adorable.” Then I get to editing and bam, I’m a goner. They woo me…  I love mornings. It’s by far my favorite part of the day. I almost (note, I said almost) hate to sleep in because I miss too much of the morning. My favorite thing is to sit by a window and drink in the light of a new day. I like to take my time in the… 
I love slow, easy mornings as well! There are days that I like to sleep in a little, but I prefer to wake up early and enjoy the rising sun. I love the quietness and stillness of the early morning! Such a perfect way to start the day! Oh, and enjoying it all with a nice cup of coffee is always great too! =)

I love taking my time in the mornings too. I love the quiet and being able to slowly wake up.

gahh. love your eyes. my favorite hmm. breakfast. honestly I’m a breakfast junky. I simply can’t go without it. 
I love snuggling with Josh for a few minutes before he kicks me out of bed to get ready! (I am not a morning person!) Once I’m up, my favorite aspect of the morning is my fresh cup of coffee. I use the same ceramic to-go mug every day! 
I love that they are so cool but the sun is just coming up. They seem so quiet and peaceful. 
I am in love with all these pictures! They’re so peaceful and calming. I’m not a natural “morning person,” but summer sunrises have been coaxing me out of bed lately. =) 
I love mornings also (although, I rarely get to enjoy them because sleep steals this precious time away from me). I am somewhat picky about mornings though. I don’t like the time of morning that most people consider “morning”, I like the 5-7am hours when the sunlight seems to FRESH! Once you get past 7am, the sunlight seems normal again. Sitting in the peaceful quiet, with a cup of something hot – I’m usually not picky, I just like it hot! Writing, or reading along with drinking that something hot is so nice. There is just something about early mornings that cannot fully be described in words, for me. I love them. 
I’m just like you…I hate sleeping in too late because I don’t want to miss the morning. During the summer when I don’t have classes to wake up for, I’m still aiming to get up and going by 8ish. I pour a cup of coffee and head straight to the front porch with my Bible and journal. It’s my favorite part of the day. 
I love slow mornings too. Make the bed and pick up the room. Brush my teeth and pick up the bathroom. Make coffee and read my Bible. Make cereal and journal or blog. And all of a sudden three hours have passed… bliss! :)

I love a good, slow-paced morning. It doesn’t matter how many hours of sleep I get in the night, my body just resists sleeping in… missing out on a good morning =) 
I love morning light. I love the new-ness & peace of the morning! I love to sit outside on the porch swing & have quite time & read before the heat of the day comes! Such beautiful photos! Especially that last one! :) 
I am so the same way with mornings, especially because Madelynn is older now, so I have them to myself! I feel like mornings are such a gift, I can’t explain it, but you seem to get it;) It’s simple for me, I look forward to brewing the coffee, adding my cream, even stirring the cream! Then checking email and facebook, and sitting down to read and wake up with the Lord. The reason I do email/FB first is because I have found if I don’t, then I’m thinking about it, and I feel more distracted….and I don’t want that stuff to be nudging at me while I’m in my reading or prayer time with God, so I do it first! I also like walking out to the deck and checking out the weather, and if it’s not too hot, I like to sit on my deck and OH, I love snuggling and waking up with Nellsie too, he’s so fun in the morning!!! A morning with you looks awesome and I LOVE your hair!  I love the summertime. Even though I’m (technically) an adult now, I still feel the carefree and relaxing effects of it’s sunshine-filled days. This session encompasses everything in my perfect summer day – lush open fields, pretty sundresses, fluffy white clouds, long flowing hair and lots of laughs. Ava was so fun to work with…

oh that is so cool, I love the braid. And I could pretty much live on avocados… literally. I love putting them on my hamburgers.

Your new hairstyle is just darling! I love avocados, too. We made an awesome salad/dip the other night with fresh avocado, corn, black beans, tomatoes, and a generous amount of lime juice and chopped cilantro. It was delish!

Thanks Daisy! It’s pretty simple. You just do a french braid with a section of hair over the forehead. The only difference is that you only pull hair on the side of the braid close to the scalp. I hope that makes sense!

Thanks Emily! My hair is actually really thin too. I just spray some dry shampoo in before I braid. It helps with the greasy look from the summer heat!
