Have Your Way - April 27, 2011 - 10:08 pm

Thank you for sharing this. It really tugged on my heart and I am actually crying right now as I am typing this. I def. want to be more in love with Jesus and to have a relationship like that.

M. - April 27, 2011 - 10:41 pm

Stacey - April 27, 2011 - 11:28 pm

Wow! Thank you thank you thank you!
It's like you read my mind or heart in the last little while.
I've done this "walk" for so long now but I feel like I finally fully understand what was done for me. And my duty to live my life as LOUD as possible for Him.
To speak for those who cannot.
To bring justice to a world that is falling apart at the seams.
To be my sisters keeper.
Thanks Jen, just gorgeous xx

Chelsea - April 28, 2011 - 12:11 am

Emily - April 28, 2011 - 4:14 am

Oh to be more like Him! Something I desire daily. Beautifully said.

The Soul Anchor - April 28, 2011 - 1:20 pm

Did you write this? It's wonderful and so incredibly humbling. I think a lot of us have struggled with this…. it's a daily surrender. Oh my goodness, thank the Lord for grace.

Jennifer - April 28, 2011 - 2:45 pm

Indeed friend. I am thankful for His grace. The more I see Him, the more I see my filthiness! I did write it.

arielle @ a beautiful journey. - April 28, 2011 - 2:57 pm

wow! love this….you have such a gift with writing!

Jennifer Rod - April 28, 2011 - 3:14 pm

Warren Baldwin - April 28, 2011 - 6:46 pm

Great poem. Yes, the grace and mercy of God are our only hope. You captured that well.

Good vlog, too. Hope you make it to seminary. It is a great experience. But, it is certainly not required for christian service. Seems like you guys are already doing a great job of that.

Have you seen the info on my blog about my book on Proverbs, Roaring Lions?

Branson @ Reflection of Something - April 29, 2011 - 11:36 am

This is really wonderful!

The vlog…part 1

Well folks, the time has come and here is the vlog. Sorry it is so long. I did it three times and this was the shortest I could get it…and these aren’t even all the questions! What can I say? I am a woman of many words. Aren’t most women? Haha. I hope you all have…

Krysta - April 26, 2011 - 6:25 pm

Oh my gosh, aren't you just cuter than…well I can't think of any comparisons, but you know what I'm trying to say. ;) You have an accent! I don't know why I didn't think of you having one. Funny how we tend to think everyone sounds like ourselves.

Christina - April 26, 2011 - 7:08 pm

This is so cute! It is great to be able to meet the person behind the blog. I hope to have more followers one day to where I can do this as well!! Love your blog!

Looks like my baby question was answered without my actually having to ask it. Ha!

Lindsay J Neumann - April 26, 2011 - 10:31 pm

:) Other than the accent you REALLY remind me of my sister Hannah! If you go to my blog there is a post with some pictures of her that is pretty recent! AHH! I LOVE PRIDE AND PREJUDICE!!! Which one? The new one or the older one with Colin Firth? I like the one with Colin Firth better.

♡ Ambrosia - April 26, 2011 - 10:33 pm

You are as cute as a button!
I have 3 sons…I was trying for that girl and stopped after 3 boys =]
Love your accent!

Jennifer - April 26, 2011 - 10:37 pm

Haha, I didn't know my accent was that strong! I try not to let the south rub off on me too much!

And I love all the adaptions of Pride and Prejudice…although I must say that the music is better in the one with Keira Knightly!

Jessica - April 26, 2011 - 10:56 pm

I laughed at your (I'm going to misquote here) this is real life, this isn't a game people…when talking about saving money and getting a camera. Too funny…however you said it. ;)

Nicely done, and I'm glad you commented on the bagillion…cause I was gonna if you didn't. haha ;)

Hope youve had a great Tuesday, Jennifer!

Emily - April 27, 2011 - 4:02 am

I never knew you wanted to be a mermaid too.

We should have done a Q & A like this when we lived together! That would have been interesante!

I also noticed the word "baben" used. I said that for the first time in a long time (that I actually remember consciously picking the word) today. It must be used in the future!

Haley K - April 27, 2011 - 4:30 am

Oh i loved your vlog Jennifer!! So fun hearing your voice and seeing more of your personality "in person" :) You are such a sweetheart! I missed the post where we could ask questions…but many of the questions you answered I had actually been wondering :)

You seem truly happy :) i love it! Another vlog soon? pretty please :)

PS – isn't working with youth amazing!? I work with our Young Women (ages 12-18) and I love it! It's wonderful knowing we're making a difference :) And I'm one of the leaders, but there has been many times when I've been lifted and inspired by their faith :)

arielle @ a beautiful journey. - April 27, 2011 - 4:32 am

loved this jennifer! your accent is awesome, of course.

and if you wanted to be a mermaid you should have my name. that way, everyone will say "oh like the little mermaid" after every time your introduce yourself. hahah

pride & prejudice is one of my favs too :)

Ashley - April 27, 2011 - 5:06 am

Your voice fits you perfectly! It is just as LOVELY as your face. And your personality truly seems wonderful. Love the VLOG! :)

I love this vlog! Thanks for sharing! So fun to hear about your life!

SavedthruLove - April 27, 2011 - 7:01 am

I fell in love with PRIDE and PREJUDICE recently so it was great to hear that name echoed by one of my favorite bloggies.
Your accent! Never knew you were a southern gal. So atttracctiivveeee. I want a southern accent. California is soooo blah. We sound so awkwardly happy. haha. I don't know what I am talking about.
Your beautiful and I seriously give you so many props.I have wanted to do a vlog for the longest and I am still quite too fearful to embark on that adventure yet.

awesome blossom!! loved the questions…definitely not too long!

Gail @ Sophisticated Steps - April 27, 2011 - 4:30 pm

So nice to "meet" you. :)

Pride & Prejudice – yay!!!! You mean there's someone else out there like me? Love it!

My dad is the Corp. Dir. for Pastoral Care of Baptist Health Sys. in So. FL. – so yay for you, again! :) I think I'm in good company here.

As far as kids go – let's just say God can have a sense of humor. We had 3 kids in 3 yrs 3 mo. all before our 5th anniversary. His ways are not our ways!!! Lol! (And I think you'd make a great mommy…one day.)

I'm sure there are more great things I can comment on, but I'm short on time (I should be working!). Just wanted to say "hi there". Glad I popped back in on this post! You're so cute!

P.S. Love your accent! ;)

Young People in Love - April 27, 2011 - 10:08 pm

your accent is adoramable. :)

mary - April 27, 2011 - 11:35 pm

Oh my. I am not sure where to start. Firstly, how do you get anything done? With those big bright eyes and all of that adorableness, I was convinced you obviously would catch yourself in the mirror or your reflection and get lost for hours or something! Ok, but seriously, the accent is superb. You are a dream. xox!

Sydney - April 30, 2011 - 2:37 am

Love it!! You're so adorable and funny! I love hearing people's voices and matching them to the faces!

Our Trip to Cumberland Island

This past weekend I was able to go home and visit my sweet family. While there, I had the honor of taking my precious sister’s senior photos. She is a beautiful, talented young woman and I am proud of her! As I was pondering on the best place to do the shoot, Cumberland Island popped…

Lindsay J Neumann - April 25, 2011 - 6:19 pm

Love it! You remind me of my sisters Hannah and Callie, and me when we get tired! We are weirdos yes we are. :)

I blame it on the fact that we are Neumanns. The whole Neumann/Going clan is crazy…and that means tons of fun! Don't you just love family?

The Weekend File

All the days of her life…

I was sitting in a small group Bible Study as a little braceface Middle School kid, more concerned with my undeveloped self than the lesson. Then suddenly Christy, the young college girl teaching the class, said something that pierced through my self-absorbed thoughts of insecurity and rocked my world. “She does him good, not harm,…

That was a great story. How awesome that you patiently waited for God to bring him along.

A great verse to keep close to our hearts in our relationships.

Love that. The photo, the proverb, the braces, for days like we all have, it is soo comforting to remember what's important. xox!

love that verse too. and your blog.

The Soul Anchor - April 20, 2011 - 12:30 pm

What a great post this was!

Topics like this are difficult for me because of some events that have happened in my past. My life is definitely a lot more messy than yours was in this regard. But I know God can work through anything…

Jennifer - April 20, 2011 - 1:13 pm

Yeah that is fine girls! I appreciate your kind words of encouragement so much! God definitely gets all the glory for this one. I am a very selfish person, and if it wasn't for Him, I would have gone down a very different path. My parents were instrumental in this area as well. :)

Janette - April 20, 2011 - 7:56 pm

I love Proverbs 31! So inspiring!

Chelsea - April 20, 2011 - 9:15 pm

Love this!

Cory - April 21, 2011 - 3:15 am

This is such a wonderful verse! I meet with different groups of girls every week & would love to encourage them with this! I wish I had a leader in middle/high school that had shared these things with me!

Jennifer - April 21, 2011 - 1:57 pm

Cory, you are more than welcome to share it! That was my goal in putting it up in the first place…really it all started with Christy….Her name was Christy Tebow (She is Tim Tebow's older sister. This was way before the Tebows became famous though.)…and she married her first love…
